Yes, finally. Finally, I built a boat for myself and finally I got all of the issues between my camera and my computer and between my computer and the internet solved so now I can show some new stuff. The photos above are my "sort of" new boat and show off some of the extra personal details I created after spending alot of time in these boats, both my early experiments and many of the boats that I tested for my clients. Here's another variation of our Sweetwater I model. Same as usual but with sides that are a couple of inches higher for a little more load capacity and a dryer ride. Just another example of the ease of "custom fitting" our boats to your specific needs. Give us a call and let us create something special for you.

Winter in the Boatyard

Well it's deep winter here at the boatyard. Between the natural new year, the winter solstice, and the calendar new year is a favorite time for us. While we're still trying to catch up with work in the shop, (thanks for your patience guys) we also like to take the time to reflect on the past year and start looking ahead to the next. Thanks to all the wonderful customers we've met and built boats with this year. It was a pleasure and we hope to see you in 2011. And to those who are still deciding, we look forward to working with you in the year to come. We hope to see lots of new faces and new boats next year and here's hoping all of us can do a little more fishin'.

We're just a couple of guys who love fishing and small boats. While we've designed these boats primarily for flyfishing for bream, they are suited for a variety of warmwater river and smaller lake activities. Whether you're fishing, hunting, bird watching, taking photos, or just cruising, you'll be happy in one of these boats. We have pirogues for paddling and square stern models suitable for trolling motors. Our favorite design is our foot-operated trolling motor powered model that allows for hands-free operation. These boats are very lightweight, averaging 55-60 pounds for easy solo handling. We construct these boats using marine-grade mahogany plywood and cypress lumber. They're lighter, dryer, more stable and more comfortable than a canoe or a kayak. For economy, efficiency, and environmental friendliness, these boats can't be beat. We've been building boats for over 20 years and we believe you'll be proud to own one .
